WISHH Previews Summer of Trade Teams in Recognition of World Trade Month

May is Trade Month

As World Trade Month highlights the importance of international partnerships, the ASA’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health program is recognizing a busy summer focused on strengthening global connections that create new opportunities for U.S. soy.

In the months ahead, WISHH will welcome dozens of international trade team partners from three continents to the United States for trainings, industry tours and business meetings focused on educating partners about the soy value chain. These visits give buyers, processors and food and feed manufacturers firsthand exposure to the quality, reliability, and sustainability of U.S. soy. Partners from sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Asia will be visiting seven states throughout the summer months.

At the same time, WISHH staff will travel internationally to key industry events, technical trainings, and buyer’s conferences where partners will connect directly with U.S. soy suppliers.

As they do every year, U.S. soybean farmers will also play a part in this year’s trade missions. They will welcome partners to their farms to showcase how they sustainability grow U.S. soy for both food and feed applications. Additionally, farmers will act as ambassadors of soy while traveling with WISHH to international conferences and partner’s farming operations as well as manufacturing facilities.
