WISHH Begins Outreach to Dairy Farmers in Kazakhstan

Agrofirma Rodina LLP Dairy Plant
WISHH has begun expanding its work with dairy farmers in Kazakhstan, exposing them to better management practices as well as the role U.S. soy could play in feed.

The ASA’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health program began its first outreach to dairy farmers in Kazakhstan as it expands U.S. soy’s trade potential in the country. WISHH technical advisers spoke with farmers to discuss the potential benefits of U.S. soybean meal into their livestock feed. WISHH’s market assessment already reported a strong interest in U.S. soy for feed, offering the opportunity to build long-term demand for U.S. soy.
Many dairy farmers in Kazakhstan face challenges beyond feed access, including limited knowledge in barn design, farm management, and feed preparation. WISHH is addressing these needs by offering technical support and sharing best practices to help strengthen the country’s dairy sector. As the sector begins to grow, so will its demand for U.S. soy for feed, increasing trade opportunities for U.S. farmers.
