The ASA’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health program Executive Director, Gena Perry, was recently honored with Sigma Alpha Sorority’s Spirit of Ruth Award during the organization’s Ignite Leadership Conference in Denver.
The Spirit of Ruth Award recognizes Sigma Alpha alumni who demonstrate active involvement, leadership, and long-standing commitment to agriculture. Sigma Alphas selected Perry due to her career-long dedication to strengthening global food systems and advancing opportunities, particularly her work through WISHH supporting the role of U.S. soy in global trade and development. Under Perry’s leadership, WISHH grows demand for U.S. soy across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
