The ASA’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health program welcomed 42 attendees from aquaculture and poultry companies from Ghana, Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, and Senegal to Accra, Ghana this week for feed formulation workshops. The program provides hands-on training in modern feed technology, grain quality, and the nutritional value of U.S. soy. It aims to equip feed manufacturers, nutritionists, and producers with knowledge of stronger feed practices. The workshops also help build the capacity and expertise of feed manufacturers in the region while also serving as a knowledge exchange between WISHH’s partners. Additionally, WISHH is helping strengthen connections between these producers and manufacturers, creating a stronger value chain for both the poultry and aquaculture industries.
As these industries continue to grow across West Africa, access to high-quality, nutritionally balanced feed will be instrumental to their success. This helps create long-term opportunities for U.S. soy utilization in the region.
