The ASA’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Program has once again been allocated Market Access Program (MAP) and Foreign Market Development (FMD) funding for the 2026 program year. ASA serves as the cooperator of record for U.S. soy’s participation in both programs, supporting coordinated efforts to expand global demand and strengthen international trade relationships for soybean growers through WISHH and USSEC programming.
“MAP and FMD investments enable WISHH to create opportunities in new and emerging markets worldwide,” said WISHH Executive Director Gena Perry. “When WISHH uses these funds to build markets internationally, it is an investment in long-term demand for U.S. Soy. Once again, USDA has recognized the immense value of our partnership.”
WISHH uses these funds to advance its work across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. They are leveraged to deliver technical training, support farmer engagement, strengthen local processing capacity, and connect international buyers with U.S. suppliers. These activities help emerging markets meet growing protein needs while building long-term demand for U.S. soybean meal and value-added soy products while ultimately returning value to U.S. soybean farmers.
