Soy Foods in Zimbabwe
Dr. Karl Weingartner,
a technical expert with WISHH, visited Zimbabwe in 2002 and worked with the
local people to improve their nutrition through incorporating soy into the local
foods. The video below shows how local food in Zimbabwe is prepared and how soy
is being incorporated in the local dishes.
The first link gives access to the whole video, which is about nine minutes
long. It has also been broken down into five separate segments, each
concentrating on a specific food.
In
order to view the videos, you must have the free QuickTime player (QT versions 5
or 6) already installed on your computer and at least a 56kb modem connection to
the internet.
If
you don’t already have QuickTime installed, you can download it here:
Important
Note: In order to play properly, your QuickTime player’s preference setting
for “connection speed” must be set to match the bandwidth of your current
connection to the internet. If you have any transmission difficulties at that
setting, try dropping your “connection speed” setting to the next lower
number.
NOTE TO MODEM USERS: If
you have difficulty playing any of these streaming videos,
click here to access “progressive download
versions” of these same files. This method will probably take more more time to
download, but will work in all networking conditions.
