WISHH Photo Gallery
Soy is part of the solution for our world where nearly one in seven people do not get enough food to be healthy and lead an active life. WISHH is demonstrating through our activities, depicted in our photo gallery, that soy can make a difference for the hungry in the world, and at the same time, create demand for U.S. soybeans. Please contact the WISHH office to request permission to use these photos.
Humanitarian Assistance
The humanitarian projects under WISHH promote the use of value-added soy products to fight the cause of world hunger and fight disease. On three continents, private voluntary organizations, working in conjunction with WISHH, provide soy to school children and others who badly need more protein in their diets.

Research
WISHH conducts pilot studies to assess the acceptability and benefits of adding high-protein soy products to the diet for orphans and vulnerable children and caregivers. Collaboration on protein research projects with WISHH partners helps to fill a void in data concerning the role of soy supplementation for people living with HIV/AIDS. Important benefits follow research of this nature to improve overall health.

Governance
U.S. soybean growers who created the WISHH program in 2000 wanted to share with the rest of the world the nutritional, economic, and commercial value of soy. The governance of WISHH has changed over time and now includes industry stakeholders. Our goal is to ensure WISHH is well represented among its stakeholders in Washington, DC, acting as a voice for food aid and nutrition issues.
