Cambodia Project Benefits Children and People with HIV/AIDS

Soyfoods in CambodiaWISHH and their strategic partner, NSRL, along with International Relief and Development (IRD) and two local implementing partners (non-governmental organizations, cooperatives, and family businesses) combined forces in Cambodia. The project produced soy milk and other soy products for people living with HIV/AIDS as well as orphans and vulnerable children and their families.

In addition to making soy milk and tofu available to these people, the project generated enough soyfoods for additional sales through micro enterprises. In addition, the effort provides okara, a byproduct of the soyfoods production, to families raising piglets for future income generation.
