Cambodian Feed Millers, Importers Receive Training as U.S. Soy Exports Grow

With the growth of U.S. soy exports to Cambodia, feed millers and importers requested assistance to develop and refine their risk management programs to help with their purchasing activities.

In mid-May, Cambodian feed millers and importers received risk management assistance from Mike Krueger, a risk management consultant and Mark Jirik, executive director of the Northern Crops Institute (NCI) in Fargo, North Dakota.

During the workshop, Krueger and Jirik presented to more than a dozen participants on the basics of risk management and importing soybean and other commodities. They also held several one-on-one meetings with companies during the trip. Funding for the trip and workshop was provided by the North Dakota Soybean Council.
